Somewhere
... in Oregon

Time is Irrelevant ...
the urge undeniable ...
I must return to where my spirit wanders ...
to "Somewhere in Oregon."

... To that experienced as a child,

Where my mind was stilled and cares transcended ...
To the mountain valleys & beyond ... breathe in their quiet fragrance,
Listen to their subtle intonations ... Merge with their content:
The river's soothing tranquility,
the cumulus cloud's majestic wonder,
the thunderstorm's all encompassing percussion,
the autumn's golden radiance;
the snowfall's soft and tender touch ...

These are but a few facets of my "Somewheres" ...
~ Such things of real value I drink freely of.

I do not reveal that which I hold close to everyone,
Experience has taught me the wisdom of foresight & tempered discretion,
We all have places we speak of in hushed voice, in guarded tones ...
usually found at some risk, exploring back road or unmarked trail.

Such experiences remind us to "let up, ... let go."
~ to embrace fully the richness of the moment.

I hope you have found your "Somewhere," & know its worth
... if not ~ soon. ... Where spirit & body can be healed ... renewed & made "whole" ... and beauty not only seen, but felt ... held ... "Known.".

Someday I shall return to that which I hold dear ... to my
"Somewhere" ... and drink deeply of its character, its worth
... this love ... perhaps soon.
